If I worked for someone, I would have been sacked by now!

Some may laugh however, I genuinely believe it to be true. Happy birthday to Sprint – 20 years today! 🎂

Some say that I shouldn’t tell people the business has been running for that long as it shows my age, but I challenge anyone to start a business, go through the GFC (whilst building a house, on a single salary when you’ve just lost ALL your contractors – fun times!), Covid and whatever you can call the past 3 years – to then come out the other side and still be standing – and sane!

My standards are high and I’ve always expected a lot from people however, I don’t apologise for that trait as without it, Sprint would not be where it is today.

I’ve had highs, lows and everything in between. It’s been the most fantastic journey and I wouldn’t change a single thing.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of my work life, the candidates, clients, staff and friends – I’ve laughed and cried with you all. The stories I could tell would fill a book – now there’s an idea…

Without Jim NEVILLE‘s confidence in me all those years ago I may never have started. Thank you to Chris Slattery for the training and also reining me in during my Alectus/M&B days, and to Tony Barrington for your unwavering guidance (and at times, blunt advice) over the past 20 years – I’d be lost without you.

Special thanks to Hannah Brewer who has been embedded in the business for the past 6 years. You deserve a medal for putting up with me, I know I’m a lot. 🤣
