Fantastic HR Advisor position for a professional who has a well-tuned skill set in Employee Relations.

Our client is a large multinational, award winning organisation that specialise in services relating to green spaces and the great outdoors!

With a HQ in Botany and a workforce of over 2000 employees in ANZ, across 4 various entities, the business is going through a phase of major transformation and requires a skilled HR / Employee Relations Advisor to help navigate them through this exciting journey.

Working closely with 3 x HR Managers, you will be taking care of the BAU performance management tasks relating to employees who are paid under Industry Awards. As well as managing the on/off boarding and employee record management.

Day to day you’ll be overseeing a range of the below duties…

  • Working with the organisation’s performance management system to ensure deliverables are consistent across all areas of the business. 
  • Partnering with line managers (both in the field and within HQ) to identify performance issues and develop appropriate strategies for improvement – following core business values and upholding business integrity.
  • Conducting performance reviews and providing both feedback and mentorship to emerging leaders.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant Industry Award and regulations (please note that there are no unions associated with this Award).
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the HR team.
  • Working with a team, helping them to implement and maintain the HRIS and other HR-related systems/platforms throughout the employee life cycle.
  • Assisting with HR Projects where required including assisting with the development of employee communications.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various HR initiatives.

This is a newly created role within the business and will bolster support to the HR Managers as they work through merging the four business entities together.

What you need to bring to the table

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Employee Relations advisory role.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards.
  • Experience working in a trade environment is highly desirable.
