Located in an extremely modern practice in Wollongong, the business commenced 4 years ago with one of Sydney’s leading cosmetic surgeons at its helm. The practice has gone on to experience impressive growth since opening its doors, and is now looking to expand its team further. 

The business is showing no signs of slowing down, and they are now searching for a one-of-a-kind registered nurse to take the reigns in supporting the team of 4 surgeons. You’ll be part of a wonderful group of of people, most of who have been with the business since it commenced. 

This is a part-time position, perfect for someone working another part-time role, or simply someone seeking work/life balance. The surgery require a nurse every Monday and Thursday for 4-6 hours. They are flexible to work around school hours and there will be the opportunity to take on more hours as a new surgery in Bowral is opening soon.

Your key focus will be to assist in creating a wonderfully bespoke experience for all patients who engage with the practice  – from the very first appointment through to the post procedure care. 

You’ll be working closely with one of the most positive and fun clients we’ve ever had the pleasure of partnering with, the Director of the business. You will support them as they continue to ensure that the business stays well ahead of its competitors. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Pre and post-op consulting with patients and plastic surgeons
  • Using clinical judgment to manage patients in collaboration with specialists and within scope of practice 
  • Advising and educating patients on post-op care
  • Assisting with small procedures and surgeries, ensuring all rooms are set up appropriately for the surgeons 
  • Collaboratively and autonomously managing wounds and providing advice to patients 
  • Maintaining accurate patient records  

Due to the nature of the role you must be a registered nurse, and to get us really excited you’ll have surgical and wound management experience.
